ELC Lead Educator

We are currently seeking a passionate, professional and experienced Lead Educator for our Flourish Early Learning Centre, who will plan, implement, and evaluate quality programs for children ages between three and five. The successful applicant must have strong interpersonal communication skills and a passion for early learning. 

This part-time position is 25 hours per week worked over Monday to Friday (12:30pm-5:30pm) and will be required to commence in 2023.

Description

We are looking for a reliable individual, with prior experience to:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the daily routines and programs for children ages 3-5;
  • Ensure the service attains and maintains National Quality Standards and accreditation;
  • Supervise and provide leadership to educators;
  • Ensure that accurate and complete records of each child’s enrolment, attendance, illness, accident reports, observations, and any other records as required by the authorities are kept and maintained;
  • Manage the daily functions of the service; and
  • Monitor the implementation and outcomes of the service’s policies and recommend changes as required, while keeping families informed of any policy changes.

  • Have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement; and

Grounds / Maintenance, Cleaning and/or Bus Driving - FULL-TIME, PART-TIME or CASUAL

We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and suitably experienced persons, capable of fulfilling many different full-time, part-time & casual roles, with above award pay rates, as detailed below:

Grounds/Maintenance:

  • Carry out day to day repairs and maintenance of all College buildings;
  • Responsible for general upkeep of the entire grounds including mowing, weeding, planting, mulching, pruning, and watering;
  • Undertake the periodic cleaning and maintenance of single storey roof gutters and drains
  • Be involved in College events, assist with parking, setting up, and pack down etc;
  • Movement and set up/pack down of equipment (shade covers, sound system, furniture etc.) for events and classroom set-up;
  • Knowledge and skills in using a variety of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings/grounds as well as Work Health & Safety practices highly desirable;
  • Physical ability and dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job;

Cleaning:

  • Responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of college buildings;
  • Ability to work a minimum of two hour shifts in the morning and/or afternoon during the week;
  • Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to perform tasks of the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures;

In addition to the above, we are looking for a Cleaner who can also:

  • Organise the roster for all casual cleaners;
  • Order and replenish cleaning supplies.

Bus Driving:

  • Drive private school bus each morning and afternoon for College students;
  • Complete required safety checks and paperwork each shift;
  • Minimum 2 hour shifts available for morning and afternoon on school days;
  • Potential opportunity for extra shifts for school excursions, sports and camps etc;
  • Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain a MR License.

Primary Teacher

We are currently seeking a professional Primary teacher who is passionate about helping young people learn, have the ability to provide an engaging program for students and have experience with teaching Primary Music.

Position Description – Teacher

Cleaner

We are currently seeking a Cleaner/s for before and/or after school cleaning shifts between 2-4 hours up to 18 hours per week.

Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of College buildings, and must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work minimum two hour shifts in morning (from 5:30am or 6:00am) or afternoon (from 3:15pm or 3:30pm)
  • Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job, and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks for the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Bus Driver

We are currently seeking a Bus Driver for before and after school trips with additional hours available for sports runs and excursions.
