Head of Mathematics for 2020

We are currently seeking a pioneering, professional, and passionate Secondary teacher for Head of Mathematics to commence in January to be ready for Term 1 2020.

The Head of Mathematics will work with the Director of Studies as part of the Teaching and Learning team dedicated to the implementation of high quality pedagogical practices and a continued focus on the development of engaging, rigorous and innovative teaching and learning programs in Mathematics.

Leadership in the innovative use of digital technologies is an important part of the role of the Head of Mathematics. Appropriate use of technology is an integral part of teaching and learning.  You will be a leader who demonstrates both a passion for your subject and an understanding of the principles which underpin contemporary STEAM education

The Head of Mathematics will champion enrichment opportunities for students including competition work and extracurricular initiatives, as well as leading on targeted support initiatives and interventions.

  • Legal (Years 11-12)
  • Business Studies (Years 11-12)
  • Physics
  • Information & Communication Technology Skills
  • Music (Prep-Year 12)

Relief Teachers (Prep-Year 12) in all areas, particulary Secondary Maths/Science

The availability of positions – full time, part time, fixed term contract or continuing – will be determined by the subject abilities of suitably qualified applicants received. Please stipulate within your application as to whether you hold any preference for, or limitation to, Full or Part time ability.

All applicants must hold a current Queensland Teacher Registration, be eligible to work in Australia and are required to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s ethos.
