Food and Catering Services Coordinator

We are currently seeking a friendly, passionate and experienced Food and Catering Services Coordinator who will be responsible to provide healthy and nutritious food and drink to the CalCC community.

Your role will be to

  • liaise with internal clients and external suppliers regarding catering requirements
  • plan, organise and monitor the day-to-day food and catering operations at CalCC, including but not limited to the rostering of volunteers, menu planning, daily record-keeping, ordering, opening and closing tuckshop and preparation and cooking
  • prepare food in accordance with agreed menus and timeframes. Implement a system to support events and function bookings ensuring appropriate staff/volunteers are engaged to fulfil orders
  • develop, implement and manage procedures to deliver the food service to ELC and/or functions and events in accordance with food licensing standards
  • order, purchase and check all supplies against invoices/delivery dockets and approve for payment
  • ensure the health, safety and welfare of others working the catering and food services including undertaking a risk assessment of hazards and activities according to WH&S
  • daily clean food and preparation areas (dusting of shelves and stock, wiping benches, cleaning equipment and fixtures, floors) in accordance with cleaning procedures set out in the food safety plan

  • have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement
  • have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain

Position Description

Receptionist Full-time (Casual/Contract)

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional and experienced Receptionist who will provide a highly responsive service experience, quickly establishing a caring and supportive rapport with the community we serve.

Description

We are looking for a reliable individual, with minimum three years reception experience to perform key administrative and receptionist duties including:

  • Provide exemplary client service and assistance (via face to face, telephone and electronic communication).
  • Facilitate the College sign in/sign out protocols for all students and guests
  • Manage incoming and outgoing digital and physical mail and deliveries
  • Manage the first-aid room and resources, and administer general first-aid to students and staff
  • Manage the student and staff absence record keeping and notification process
  • Provide general administration support, including word processing, filing and photocopying as required, to key administration and exec staff
  • Be responsible for the presentation of the reception area and common staff room

Personal Requirements

The successful Receptionist will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task professionally and efficiently, remaining calm under pressure
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and Google Suite
  • Ability to ensure high levels of confidentiality are maintained
  • Ability to work autonomously, showing resilience, flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent personal grooming and professional presentation

Applicants are required to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos and must have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with children blue card’ and a current first aid certificate with CPR. Previous experience in an education or health industry is desirable.

Relief / Casual Non-Teaching Positions

  • Cleaners – available for minimum 2 hour shifts either early morning (between 5am-8am) or late afternoon (3pm -5pm)
  • Bus Drivers – available for minimum 2 hour shifts either morning (from 6:30am) or afternoon (from 2:45pm)

Trainee Educator - Cert III Early childhood education and care

Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. With an established team and on-the-job mentoring, you will receive all the support required to start a successful career in Early Childhood Education. This is a twelve-month employment commitment for you to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

We are seeking a dedicated team member with a genuine passion and interest in promoting children’s learning and well-being. Our Centre is well equipped with resources and programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum, including a specialised Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten program. Our educators are committed to providing a safe, joyful and positive experience for all our children and families.

  • Educators to assist Lead Educators in our Early Learning centre (Cert III in early childhood education and care or equivalent)
