Secondary Teacher - Maths/Physics/Science

Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.

CalCC invites applications from professional teachers who are passionate about helping young people learn and can provide an engaging program for students in Secondary Maths and Science.  The successful applicant must be able to teach the following subjects:

  • Senior Maths (Year 10-12);
  • Physics (Year 11-12); and
  • Science (Year 10)

The successful applicant must have strong interpersonal communication skills and a passion for learning and teaching. You will be required to commence employment from Term 3, Monday 11 July 2022.

Position Description – Teacher

Cleaner

We are currently seeking a Cleaner/s for before and/or after school cleaning shifts between 2-4 hours up to 18 hours per week.

Caloundra Christian College is a Pre-Kindy to Year 12 independent Christian school on the Sunshine Coast. We are a team of committed educators and support personnel who fundamentally believe that students learn best when they feel safe, respected, and are genuinely engaged and challenged by purposeful, creative, differentiated opportunities to learn about themselves and the impact they can make in the world they live in.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of College buildings, and must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work minimum two hour shifts in morning (from 5:30am or 6:00am) or afternoon (from 3:15pm or 3:30pm)
  • Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job, and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to perform tasks for the scheduled cleaning and in accordance with Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a Positive Notice blue card from the Queensland’s Working with Children Check
  • Maintain full vaccination status for COVID
  • Demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos

Position Description

Trainee Educator - Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care

We are seeking a dedicated team member with a genuine passion and interest in promoting children’s learning and well-being. Our Centre is well equipped with resources and programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework curriculum, including a specialised Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten program. Our educators are committed to providing a safe, joyful and positive experience for all our children and families.

With an established team and on-the-job mentoring, you will receive all the support required to start a successful career in Early Childhood Education. This is a twelve-month employment commitment for you to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Applicants must:

  • be able to demonstrate a Christian commitment consistent with the College’s Ethos
  • have or be willing to obtain a ‘Working with Children Blue Card’ prior to commencement
  • have current first aid certificate with CPR or willing to obtain
  • be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

OSHC Lead Educator

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and experienced Lead Educator who will plan, implement, and evaluate quality OSHC programs for both Before and After School Care. This position is permanent part-time with a minimum of 25 hours per week during school term-time and up to 38 hours per week during vacation care.

Description

We are looking for a reliable individual, with prior OSHC experience to:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the daily routines and programs for children ages 5-12 for Before and After School Care and Vacation Care
  • Ensure the service attains and maintains National Quality Standards and accreditation
  • Organise staff rosters, particularly for Vacation Care
  • Supervise and provide leadership to staff
  • Ensure that accurate and complete records of each child’s enrolment, attendance, illness, accident reports, observations, and any other records as required by the authorities are kept and maintained
  • Manage the daily functions of the service
  • Monitor the implementation and outcomes of the service’s policies and recommend changes as required, while keeping families informed of any policy changes

Bus Driver

We are currently seeking a Bus Driver for before and after school trips with additional hours available for sports runs and excursions.
