Co-educational School We are a College of Christian staff who endeavour to provide a quality Christian education to families throughout the Sunshine Coast. Dedicated Teachers The teachers at Caloundra Christian College must have a personal faith in Jesus Christ, an understanding and acceptance of the philosophy of education, beliefs and values of the College and a lifestyle that honours Jesus Christ as Lord. Teaching must be seen as a holy calling of God and as a ministry to the children who form the learning community. Teachers are called upon to model the love and unity that Jesus expected of His disciples, to be servant-leaders of the children they teach, to have a pastoral concern for them and to set a positive Christian example to students in language and in lifestyle. Academic Excellence Our commitment is to provide a balanced, healthy environment and curriculum in which to develop each student intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically in order that they may be well prepared and equipped for the adult life which God has planned for them. Christ-centred Curriculum The College believes that ultimately God is the source of all knowledge. Our curriculum is taught from a God-centred world view whilst also acknowledging views commonly held by the wider community. Discipline As a College we value good discipline and strive in co-operation with parents to maintain Godly standards. We encourage the development of self-discipline and when necessary, standards will be enforced through a variety of means, including detentions, community service, and internal or external suspensions. |
