The role

We are currently seeking applications from professional teachers who are passionate about helping young people learn, have the ability to provide an engaging program for students and have experience with teaching in one or more of the following subjects;

  • HASS

GRAPHICS DESIGNEr – IN HOUSE

The role

We are currently seeking a professional, dedicated and suitably experienced in house Graphics Designer who will be responsible for ensuring quality graphic design content for the College community;

Commencing immediately, this position is 2-3 days per week and will be responsible for the following:

 Key Responsibilities include:

  • To work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet College goals.
  • Assist to develop and implement creative and effective marketing campaigns and communication strategies, engaging in new marketing opportunities across a range of marketing platforms.
  • To ensure feedback analysis of campaigns and strategies to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Assist with management of the strategic focus and content of the College social media channels.
  • Assist to manage the visual style and branding of the College and its’ promotional material.

Applicants must

  • Have strong creative and innovative mindset;
  • Have strong communication skills and an eye for detail and accuracy, including written, verbal and interpersonal;

  • Have strong skills in word processing, publishing software, photo and video editing;
  • Have experience in use of web content management systems and promotion through social media is a benefit;

INTERNATIONAL OFFICER – FIXED TERM CONTRACT

We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and suitably experienced persons, capable of fulfilling our International Officer position. This fixed term role will be part-time, 2 days a week (8am-4pm) until end of November  2024 (potential to increase to 3 or 4 days during study tour months). 

One of the key responsibilities of the International Officer is to assist with facilitating and managing the homestay program. This includes assisting with the coordination of placement of international students with host families, providing support and assistance to international students and tour groups throughout their homestay experience and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, regulations and procedures. Additionally, the International Officer serves as a point of contact for international students, host families and other stakeholders and provides cultural orientation and guidance to promote cross-cultural understanding and communication.

Qualifications:                                                                  

  • Demonstrated experience working within a school environment would be advantageous;
  • Tertiary qualification/s in administration (eg. Business), international or other relevant discipline would be highly regarded.

FOOD & CATERING SERVICES COORDINATOR

Caloundra Christian College invites applications for a Food and Catering Services Coordinator.  The Coordinator is required to support and service CalCC in providing healthy and nutritious food and drink to the Early Learning Centre (ELC), College students and staff, and College events and/or functions.

Your role will be to

  • liaise with internal clients and external suppliers regarding catering requirements
  • plan, organise and monitor the day-to-day food and catering operations at CalCC, including but not limited to the rostering of staff, volunteers, menu planning, daily record-keeping, ordering, preparation and cooking of food and opening/closing tuckshop
  • prepare food in accordance with agreed menus and timeframes. Implement a system to support events and function bookings ensuring appropriate staff/volunteers are engaged to fulfil orders
  • develop, implement and manage procedures to deliver the food service to ELC and/or functions and events in accordance with food licensing standards along with a clear understanding of allergen procedures;
  • order, purchase and check all supplies against invoices/delivery dockets and approve for payment
  • ensure the health, safety and welfare of others working the catering and food services including undertaking a risk assessment of hazards and activities according to WH&S
  • daily clean food and preparation areas (dusting of shelves and stock, wiping benches, cleaning equipment and fixtures, floors) in accordance with cleaning procedures set out in the food safety plan
  • have a solid understanding and awareness of Food Allergies and how to maintain allergen clean procedures in the kitchen

CATERING /KITCHEN HAND

Casual

The Catering / Kitchen Hand will be a member of the catering team and will assist the team in providing healthy and nutritious food and drink to the Early Learning Centre, College students and staff and for College events and/or functions.

 Primary responsibilities 

  • Basic food preparation of fresh and healthy food options
  • Delivery of prepared food
  • Clean, wash and pack up of used equipment and surfaces
  • Purchasing supplies for food preparation

  • Ad-hoc support to the catering and services coordinator

Bus Drivers

We are currently seeking suitably qualified, energetic and experienced persons to fulfil multiple Bus Driver positions with the College. These positions would suit applicants looking for a minimum of 4 hours per day (split shifts), Monday to Friday during term time. 

Bus Driving

  • Drive private school bus each morning and afternoon for College students;
  • Complete required safety checks and paperwork each shift;
  • Minimum 2 hour shifts available for morning and afternoon on school days; and 
  • Potential opportunity for extra shifts for school excursions, sports and camps etc.

We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and suitably experienced persons, capable of fulfilling multiple cleaning positions with our College. Part-time and casual opportunities available at above award rates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of college buildings;
  • General cleaning duties involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, wiping and dusting of classrooms and furniture;
  • Toilet cleaning involving but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, wiping and dusting of toilet bowls, basin, mirrors, walls, windows and floors;
  • Maintain all cleaning related equipment and supplies to an acceptable standard;
  • Complete cleaning checklists;
  • Identify and report improvement ideas for efficiency of day to day cleaning tasks;
  • Ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace environment by reporting any health and safety hazards. Comply with College workplace health and safety policy and procedures at all times; and
  • Work cohesively as a team member and as required, assisting team members to ensure all work tasks are completed.

Skills & Abilities                                                                          

  • Ability to work a minimum of two hour shifts in the morning and/or afternoon during the week;
  • Professional and reliable cleaner, able to work without supervision and with high attention to detail;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ability to cope with the physical demands of the job and have excellent time management and prioritisation skills;
